I dont think we will ever find siomething that will grow as rapidly as the internet, could be space flight for the average person

I think Wireless technology.

Soon many things that are connected by wires will be wireless.

Mobile phones will be able to download pictures to a PC without wires (already here). Speakers for your hi fi or home cinema system will not need wires (already here)

We will have wireless keyboard and mice on computers (already here).

Sky are starting to offer a wireless device called the Gnome which is like a digital radio but it can listen to the sound from your sky digital box. You can carry it anywhere round your house.
