IE? You must be joking. Download another browser such as Chrome or Firefox. Nobody in their right mind uses IE as a browser these days.

It depends on what you are running with.....w10, w8, w7?

As Internet Explorer is integrated into Windows, it should be present on any Windows PC. (It's even on Windows 10 machines, which have the marginally better Edge browser as the default program).
So I'm mystified as to what it is that you're trying to do. (As others have suggested though, Internet Explorer is totally pathetic, so I can't see why anyone would want it anyway).
Some further explanation of exactly what's going on seems to be needed here.

Andres:
Internet Explorer can't be customised (through adding on extensions) in the same way that most other browsers can. It has a nasty habit of not displaying images properly (or at all), takes far longer to load content-heavy pages than its main competitors and is an absolute nightmare to print some web pages from. (Trying to get them to fit the page in one's desired way can be an impossibility).

I have never had problems with IP especially when using a Packard Bell computer but since getting this Asus its bee a load of rubbish. I have been retired for over 25 years. its just when I find something that works and I am comfortable with in life I tend to stick with it and also have Windows 10 desktop computer.
BJS, which browser are you using on your desktop, and does the Asus have w10 installed? If it is w10 on the Asus, click on the windows logo bottom left or press the windows key again bottom left on the keyboard. Then top left a series of lines and square dots hover you cursor. If it says "All apps" click on it. This will bring up a set of tiles in alphabetical order. If internet explorer is not under "I" then scroll down the page to "Windows Accessories" and click. In there you should find Internet Explorer. RIGHT click on the icon and "pin to taskbar". When you next switch on you should be able to launch IE from the bottom(taskbar).
Hi, Windows 10 can use the IE. You can find it in the start menu or search Internet explorer in the search box, and the result of Internet Explorer will pops up.
And if you want to set Internet Explorer as the Default Browser, goes to here: Start Menu > Settings > Apps > Default Apps > Web Browser to choose the Internet Explorer. That's all.
