Yesterday a former colleague came in to my building, I'd seen him through the window and he waved and gestured he was coming in for a chat. I was surprise at his weight loss. He said he'd eventually bought a karaoke machine (told him ages ago I'd bought one) and that he has a blast of it most nights .. and then in the pub at weekend. He put the weight loss down to the karaoke .. I secretly thought nah. Just googled karaoke weight loss not expecting anything to come up, this link did.
Sqad? What do Answerbankers think? What would be the science behind it?

Given that karaoke nights in pubs are the work of the devil, perhaps he's sold his soul in order to lose a bit of weight?

Hard to sing when you're eating a chip butty ;-)

Ha ha mamya!
My Mum, bless her heart, was going to sing something some years ago and accidently beaches into the Mic! We were all killing ourselves laughing!

Belches!!
Signs that make me unlikely to visit a particular pub:

"Karaoke Nights" (or, even worse, "Karaoke Nites")
"Resident DJ"
"Big Screen"
"Sky Sports"
"Premier League Football"
"Happy Hour"
"Special Offer on Shots"

Buen, not big on pubs (evening) myself either.
I may use mine as I not only sang into the mike, played a tune by Nat King cole on the hi-fi - then record - then myself and Nat were recorded together onto another disc. A laugh

My American friend came over one night and I said do you wanna listen to Nat - Ah ok. She says who the f is that lady singing with Nat

Weakly I said it is me. Ach getta outta here you couldn't sing with Nat. But we laughed. I'd fabulous times with the karoake and taped most of them on my camera but can't get the nerve to look back at them as I was lovely and thin then, there is one tape my friend Irish friend has begged me to play

As maybe that time I put the music of Crystal Gayle on the deck, played the kaorake - but turned the camera to myself and recorded myself to sing.

When I played it all back - all you see me is singing but trying to sneakily have a wee drink or two. A stealthier cat couldn't do it.

Point being - I NEVER LOST ANY WEIGHT lol

They are funny. Now I'm thinking party-time and get these recordings out and have a good belly-laugh - when the good weather comes in.
^^^ when I played all back I was able to put myself on the Television Screen.

It was probably old Selfies then LOL
Singing makes you feel good, so maybe you wouldn't snack , it also improves breathin was you need a degree of breath control. If you jig about a bit while you sing it might help. If I tried it I would probably be evicted from my flat.
chris, add to that list "children welcome "
Naaaah!

If he exercises every night (singing) and he controls the amount he eats....then fine.....he will lose weight.
Nothing special there.
Didnt work for pavarotti ;0)
