Sky Tv Question
7 Answers
Sky have got me tied up in knots. As an OAP I have to watch my pennies but do need to be able to have TV but prices have escalated to a price I can’t really afford. All I want is the normal Original TV plus Sports channel which I would be able to watch on my iPad while my wife watches her Soaps etc on TV. Can anyone help me please?

Sky recently altered the Sports channel package - so that you could get only the sport you want. So in my case I only have the SkyF1 package - as I'm not interested in football etc. I still have Eurosport. I don't know what you pay now but you could buy a TV Now box with a Sky Sports pass.
You would pay £37 for the box and 1 month Sky Sports, then £34 a month for the next 2 months then £56 a month with no contract.

Have a look what a new costumer would pay if signing up for what you have.
If you ring them and quote that they will readily match it if you sign a new 18 month contract. You might get it even less if you push hard.
Alternatively ring and say you want to cancel. They will probably offer to give you half price for 6 months. Again you might get more if you push.

I agree with tyrion44, I am also a pensioner and I am with Sky, I found them very helpful when I called them, I also played the poor pensioner bit, it seemed to work, they reduced my monthly payments. Give them a call and tell them that you're thinking of switching to BT or Virgin because you cannot afford the monthly payments, good luck.
