I have LibraOffice in Wndows 7. I have had a spreadsheet open and when I try to close it I get this message; was started with an invalid parameter. I have reset the Dot, as someone said could be the fault, but made no difference. I have opened another spreadsheet and put some figures into it the closed it, and it was OK. so the problem seems to be in the one file.

Maybe corruption. Can you copy all data over to a new spreadsheet and save it as a different name ? For that matter does a 'save as' have the same issue ?
A bit of googling suggests that a dodgy file path (e.g. one including unusual characters) can cause the problem. Other than that though, I'm lost. Sorry!

If all else fails, try OpenOffice Calc
https://www.openoffice.org/
or WPS Office Free Spreadsheet:
