Sony Xperia Restarting Constantly

Hi, I dropped my Sony Xperia on the kitchen floor...screen is fine, but phone comes on, goes through welcome screen, flashes Xperia logo and then restarts again.
Does this sound like game over or is there hope?!
I've tried holding power button down for 10 seconds but still same result!

Try removing and reseating sim card and SD card.

However, given that the problem was caused by a physical shock, I suspect that the bonding of the processor to its heat sink has failed, meaning that someone needs to do what's shown here:
