Google Virus Warning

I have a s sony mobile,there is a Google warning saying I have 5 virus and it wants me to download a Google App to fix it. Looks like it's from google but wanted to make sure it's ok before I download anything. Thank x

Looking at that screenshot from Dave, there are plenty of hints that it's a scam.

1. "Your system is heavily damaged by Four virus!"
'Heavily damaged' isn't great English.
There shouldn't be a capital letter on 'Four'.
'Virus' should be in the plural

2. "28.1% damaged"
How the hell can anything be '28.1% damaged'? It's either damaged or it's not!

3. "If you do not remove the virus now, it will cause severe damage to your phone"
Er, didn't you just say that my phone was already severely damaged, pal? And how is it that you now seem to be referring to just a single virus, when there were four of them a moment ago?

4. "Keep check your battery for 7 days . . . "
Er, shouldn't that be 'checking', rather than 'check', old pal? And what the hell has my phone's battery got to do with a virus (which can only damage software, not hardware)?

Why would Google be spending resources checking everyone's PC for viruses ?

Could someone help me with this? Laptop screen told me yesterday that I've been hacked and am in danger of identity fraud. Contacted Windows, who were helpful. Then they told me they could sort it out for £299. I'm not paying that. Should I contact my bank? Should I contact the police should my details be used for ill. Could they take money from my account. Frightened about this.

£299? My laptop only cost £239! Sounds like a scam to me. If you do online banking just keep an eye on your account for a while.

don't know who you contacted but i doubt that 'windows' would ask for £299 to fix it ...

£299 sounds like what these scammers charge. You know the one, when an Indian with an English name rings you up claiming to be from Microsoft who have noticed that your computer is running slow but he can fix it if you have a debit/credit card handy.
