How To Record From Cctv

I have a Swann cctv SRDVR 84400. The system was working ok until I had to have a new hard drive installed by a repairer. Since then it does not look like it is saving recordings. The live view is ok on all cameras but the facility to playback seems to have gone. I not sure if I have ticked or unticked any of the set up boxes which has caused this. Any advice greatly appreciated as I am not very technical

Have you tried going into the setup menu and perform a format?
