Ee Spurious Data Charge
2 Answers
After I'd finished with Vodafone (see other thread) I had a look at my EE/T Mobile account, and found £0.09 charges for 'data' with an address of tmuk4050.
Googling, I found other EE customers had been charged similarly spurious amounts to tmuk4050 for 'data', pence here, pounds there. What is occurring? Is this the modern equivalent of the old con of putting a can of beans by the supermarket till and charging each customer for the beans (i.e. on top of their real bill?)
Blimey.
