WhatsApp says obsolete, Messenger stopped working too, phone says not enough space, can't update apps, says delete apps you no longer need, then it shows Facebook and Messenger, obviously I do not want to delete these, how do I get round this problem? Go to a shop? reset phone? Buy a new one? I do not know how to delete apps I no longer need, that does'nt seem to work either!
Are there other apps you can delete? Also delete old texts etc as they take up space.
I have the same issue with my phone, until i can afford to replace it with one with more memory I use facebook through the internet, rather than the app. My messenger app keeps telling me it is out of date, but works fine.
Tell me about it. Programmes not allowed (by and large) to be moved to memory card, handsets loaded with apps you never use and can't uninstall, other apps growing with every update. Handsets that a year ago had more than excess memory now apparently under-resourced and needing replacing. I'm sure it's the way the market "forces" folk to buy new and replace otherwise decent handsets.
Usually there's a menu option to delete whilst looking at the installed apps list. The icons that are for deletable apps then get a symbol overlay for you to touch to delete.
Good question, I had same problem and went to settings and storage, moved some of my apps onto sd card, the card is barely used and still google store or whatever says can't update more apps, my whatsapp is gone and I too took fb off as it's not like I want to see fb. Most apps when I try to remove them, I'm 'told' they are part of the phone and can't be removed. I'm going remove texts as chelle advised and see how that goes :) thanks
I thought i deleted a load of photos there one day, spent the whole day almost clearing them, when I turned the phone on again, they were all there, there are photos in every app it seems, there's gallery, images and google photo - I just can't get rid of them, they're all stupid old crosswords :( I'll try again though
Is it the 8GB model? If so, the OS and associated files/bloatware probably use 60% of that, leaving *** all space for anything else. Back up and delete as much as you can.
My phone is a year old, I don't know about the OP but mine is a Huawei - I don't know about the cloud space thing but anything I do on other devices seems to sync onto the phone memory, it didn't bother me so much but this question is something that made me sit and think - "Gosh I have the same issue" - I'm going to take all the advice I see here, I'm so glad I didn't overlook this on latest posts, thanks, you have all helped me a little :)
