My Avatar

I had to update my email on here and also wordpress for the avatar but now it is showing a butterfly here that is not mine ,I have my folly picture in wordpress but how do I get it back on here again

Are you using the same email on both Wordpress and AB, if you're not it won't work.

It's showing on your profile so not on your posts which is odd.
Presumably the butterfly avatar is nothing to do with yours? SOmetimes Gravatar does mix them up- it happened a few times on here to some people who had the wrong avatrrs for a short while.
When did you change it?
Maybe log out of AB, clear your browser cache and then log back in again?

I can read Baldric thankyou. I'm just reading between the lines to try to help. I'm just asking if she has ever used it before- if so it may be somewhere else on her Wordpress profile (as my previous ones are on my Wordpress)

foolyfancier- I've managed to amke mine disappear on my posts but it still appears on my profile.To get it back on my posts I just need to go back into my profile, selct edit and then tick teh boxto reactivate my avatar.
If you Edit Your prfile and tick the box your avatar should appear with your posts (maybe after a short delay). It' ll be interesting to see if it shows the right one or the unexplained butterfly one.

A quicker way is to click View Your Profile and then click on the "Activate my avatar" button. That brought mine back instantly. What happens if you do that?

I changed the emails about 5 min before I came to this post, I have now logged out and logged back in, deactivated and reactivated my avatar just before I am typing this answer so what do you see now, I have got the blue butterfly but have no idea why it is not on the gravatar site as far as I know

Starnge. Well there has been some progress in that your avatar now appears with your posts.
If you go onto Wordpress you should be able to see all the avatars that have been associated with that email address. Are there any showing? Presumably you have a new one which you want to useon here and that is showing on Wordpress.

I have gone to word press and I can only see my folly castle avatar where would the others be if I did have another somewhere

If they don't appear on the wordpress scheme they won't be there.
Gravatar/Wordpress does occasionally mix up its avatars for a while. i sugges you leave it for a day and see if it resolves itself. I'm assuming you have checked that the email address you used for Wordpress and for AB are identical.

Go to Wordpress site and sign in with your user name. Go to 'my Profile' and check that the email address you are using for AB is the same as the email address in your Wordpress Profile.

From Wordpress navigate to Gravatar ( you may be prompted to sign in again) Check the email you are using for AB is the Primary Address. If not change it. Go to 'my avatars' and check the required avatar is your default on gravatar if it is not change it.

yes I,m back to normal it must have got the hiccups when I updated the emails (all Bt's fault ,they are deleting my others)
