Subtitles On Sky Tv Catch Up

I currently watch my TV using a Sky+ box and, when I download Catch Up programs, I can't get subtitles. When I mentioned this in a recent post ( without specifying Sky ), two posters said I should be able to get subtitles on BBC iPlayer catch up programs. Can anyone tell me how I can do this please? The methods given by the two posters didn't work for me.
I was always led to believe Sky did not provide subtitles on BBC iPlayer. Has this changed?

Are SKY programmes shown on the BBC Iplayer as they are two separate tv broadcasters??

look in the bottom left hand corner of the screen when you get your programme on i-player. you'll see a letter 's'. click on that and sub titles will come on.

Sorry Sharon A, I didn't explain properly. I want to watch BBC programs on Sky catch up.

10 ClarionSt. I don't have an S button when I watch a downloaded program on the iPlayer on Sky.

Using the Sky remote press 'help', this brings two options onto the screen, one being subtitles.
Scroll down to that and select 'on' using the arrow keys on the remote.
If there are subtitles for that broadcast they'll appear.
