hi, has anybody got any good ideas to help me with this, growingly annoying, problem? my gf recently bought an mp3 player, she tried putting some songs onto it via window media player but only about a quarter of the songs went on, so she tried again but this time most of the songs went on but they wouldnt play. so i thought about formatting the device so we tried that but still it didnt work. There should still be plently of room on the device as she isnt trying to put loads of songs onto it. so anyway we took it back to the shop and got a completely different 1, but this exact problem has happened again. the songs seem to be there but when you go to play them it just takes you back to track 1 and doesnt play a thing. her computer is runs windows xp which i thought was compatible with the device. has anybody got any ideas? cause this is getting really annoying! any help would be great. thanks

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.you cant put them on from Windows media palyer in my experience because thats not where they are stored on the computer. You should have a folder in your computer where all your music is stored
go to start then my computer and it will be in c or d drive depending on what you have it should be in my music, or the folder where you put them when you put the music on the computer in the first place
if you cany find it right click on a song and click on 'open containing folder', you can then pick it up from there and move it onto your mp3, which should show up as removeable storage device
hope thats not patronising
let me know if this works
Hi Saxo, you cannot copy files from a music CD directly to an MP3 player as the file format is not the same, if this is what you trying to do it will never work, you must convert the CD files to MP3 type files.
Find some files which you have downloaded or copied from somewhere and which have file names such as ''my_heart_will_go_on.mp3'' and try the copying with those and see if it works.
Hi Saxo, try this Site they have lots of stuff for converting, I use dbPowerAmp which I find pretty usefull but its not free.
