How do I connect my roland digital piano to my pc (USB to MIDI) and what software should I use....in hope???

I've seen cables advertised on ebay auctions or more expensively in PC World. One end is your midi connection and the other end is to the hand controller input on your computer. Software depends on what you then want to do with the sound. I personally record onto my PC via the Data Becker Music Centre (databecker.com) which only cost me �20 and has many inbuilt midi files.
