Skype for business has decided it wants to be on my computer. Cannot get rid of it. Icon on toolbar.... keep getting little popups that it is running. I have ticked all options to stop it running on startup. I have also totally uninstalled Skype.... and yet it is still there! Driving me mad! Any ideas to make it go away please!

How weird - i was getting annoyed with it myself this morning. I take it from what you have said that you have done into tools/options/personal and unticked auto start and start app in foreground?
That's worked ok for me.
if you are running office 365, you can't uninstall skype as its part of the package - Do you (did you) have it installed twice??

Thanks all - yes all boxes are unchecked McFluff but it is still there!!!

When I go to Control Panel/ Uninstall there is no mention of any Skype.
So I can only assume I have Office 365.... how can I find out if I have that??? I haven't bought anything and it is a pretty old laptop! In the list I can only see 'Office Professional Plus 2013'. TIA.
looks like it is part of office 2013 -i've just looked for mine, and i have found microsoft lync (skype) and microsoft office PP 2013 - is it under lync?
Question Author
Hi, no - no mention of Lync. I only have Office PP 13
OneDrive
Silverlight
and 12 Visual C++
Thanks again
if its within your office package which it sounds like it is, you can't uninstall that without uninstalling the whole thing.
