PC file locking software..

Does anyone know of any software that I could install on my computer so that I can lock my files so only I could open them with a password. Me and him cant have user accounts or else he starts changing me to a limited user and I cant put him as a limited or else it isnt fair as every he wants to download or install a file he has to ask me. Any one know any software? Thanx Rich.

If it is Microsoft Office Software there is an in built security feature. Search for password in the help files. You could Zip your files into a password protected archive but that would mean unzipping each time you wanted to open or change a file.

Or, if you want to be able to prevent access to any files/folders of your choice, you would need something like this:

I was actually searching for the best program to use the other day and found one that I like the best. kakasoft folder protector http://kakasoft.com/folder-protect/

You can download this particular one to an external hardrive or USB unlike most others.
