How to create a list of files on the clipboard in MS 2000

How can I create a list of filenames (full address) so that I can paste it into a document? 'Send to' doesn't give me the option (I thought there used to be a send to clipboard?)

Only method I know to do this is open a DOS window, use DOS commands to locate the directory you want to list. Type the command dir > dir.txt, which will create a text file called "dir.txt" in that directory. You can then open the file in Word etc.
