Broadband -wireless

I am presently working on a job in which we are renovating a remote farm cottage. The owner is adding a study area which therefore implies the use of PC's hence a broadband connection. How will he be able to obtained a ISDN line whilst living out in the sticks? Presently he has a telephone line entering the house.

His television is via satellite (Sky or similar) could something such as wireless be an option and what is involved?

Go onto the website of any broadband provider and you'll be able to enter your phone number and postcode and check to see if your phone exchange is broadband enabled.

If it's not he'll need to get broadband by satellite or something similar but this is incredibly expensive.

I live in the sticks - small village of around 500 people. Slightly bigger than your example i think, but we don't have mains gas!

I get 2Mb broadband through my normal phone line, it's just the exchange that needs updating - shouldn't really prove too much of a problem - If they managed it for me with the crappy old system round here, they should do it there too
