trying to buy a dvdplayer on line to play myy dvd discs
but they all seem to be blue ray/dvdplayers
just because its a blueray will it still play my dvd discs

Yes it will ...and Bluray is excellent.
I bought my player (which is Bluray) used from Cash Convertors a few months ago, when it was new it retailed at £300
...got my one, excellent condition, for £20 :-O

Now if only someone had a solution that works to run an external DVD player to an Android tablet ;-)
