How do I stop my home burned DVDs from freezing?

I burn my DVDs on the slowest burn possible if that makes sense ...also thumb and finger prints on dvd doesn't help

Yes it will help a bit, it depends if the footage is freezing permanently or very temperamentally making the footage seem jolky.
