digital photos "de-compress"

as i didnt clear previous photos some subsequent digital photos have been compressed and are very small and of a very poor quality(zoom in they become heavily pixallated) is there any software to "de-compress" them or improve quality?(without going into fidgety setting for hue/saturation/contrast etc)

Not sure what you mean. If you used some software to compress the photos, then you probably saved the compressed photos somewhere. If you saved them over the originals, then I guess the originals have been deleted. The compressed photos can't be decompressed because these saved files will be small files and won't contain as much information/detail as the originals. The only chance is that you still have the originals saved somewhere on your computer.

Hi Tali, it sounds like what you mean is that the camera sets itself to a lower resolution automatically when memory space becomes filled up. If so then there is nothing you can do for this, as BB said the file is smaller to conserve space and therefore this also contains less information so the image becomes pixilatted.
You can alter the image using anti-aliasing software which will ''soften'' the edges and make the result better to look at although this will also make it look slightly less sharp. Photoshop can do this with the help of various plug-ins such as this which is not free, but I don't know if you can download something free from somewhere.
