I filmed a band last night holding phone upright as in portrait, when I posted it on facebook it's come out as landscape, therefore cutting top and bottom of picture off! Is there any way to correct this? Should I only film in landscape next time? TIA.

Facebook is a so and so for rotating video's and pictures.....you might try rotating it (if you can) before you upload
Not really an answer, but as a photographer I'd highly recommend filming 90% of stuff in landscape anyway.
