Background Screen Turned Black

I enjoy playing Scrabble and word games online but over the past few days all of the backgrounds have turned black - and even on this site the background is black now. Any reason why ?

I had this happen to me on YouTube. I checked my settings and saw that I had inadvertently clicked, “dark screen.” I unclicked it and everything went back to normal.

Or you have accidentally enabled private or incognito mode in your browser, which device and browser are you using?

Click on the 3 dots top right. like this …

Choose settings from the menu.

Top box "Choose a theme".

Choose Light.

For some reason it was on night screen - all sorted now. Many thanks

Didn't know that night screen settings would make a screen turn black at midday. I thought that the facility, when turned, on just adjusted the red light shift making it less bright to the naked eye. Not black though. It just makes my screens a yellowy orange hue instead of bright white. Strange.
