Got an ipad mini 4, and of course, it doesn't have the little switch on one of the sides to lock the view, either landscape or portrait. I know you can tap the screen somewhere so a few more options come up on the screen, one of which is to change the screen rotation (that's the word!). Before I traipse up to our apple store, can someone please tell me how I do this, please. Manythanks.

Swipe down from the top right hand corner/or up from the bottom to reveal the control centre. Orientation lock is a padlock with a circle around with an arrow. Tap it to lock/unlock. Take a look at the link.

thanks sycamore, tried your advice, I just get some "siri suggestions". There's no padlock showing on the top RH side of my ipad screen at the moment. no sign of the control centre, but I can get the control centre via my Settings app. any thoughts?

Oh, I've just done it - sort of pressed my finger on the battery icon at the top rh corner, and swiped down hard. Bingo! Thanks so much for pointing me in the right direction! Cheers, Chox.
