Broadband recommendation

I'm going to get broadband at home, but would like to know who are the best provider. I was thinking about Tiscali who have a great deal on, but when I wrote my question a whole world of bad experiences from you a.b.ers came up. Who do you like?

hi Gathorne, we have used tiscali for over a year (1.1mbs broadband) we have never had any probs, to be honest I wouldnt change to anyone else :)

Personally, NTL. I've had no problems with them whatsoever, although there's probably a fair few people who'd disagree. Customer service is good, and they offer broadband at good prices, especially if you buy as part of a package.

I have also had Tisacli broadband for about 12mths and have had no problems with them at all.

I've been with Tiscali 4 years plus 1 year Broadband and have their very good telephone package.

Online customer service is excellent, but like everywhere else speaking to an extremely polite but difficult to understand operator in India is the only slight downside. I would not want to change, especially to a company like NTL. My son is very rarely able to access the internet ....dreadful service.

Have had Tiscali broadband for over a year with --touch wood --no problems at all would not hesitate to recomend it.

I have been with Tiscali for some time and my experience has been quite good.

I have a friend who is on AOL and she has had some problems with them.

I have not tried others though to know whether they are as good as Tiscali.
