New Hp Chromebook ( Stream ) Running Very Very Slow

bought refurbished hp stream from ebay
ive noticed its runing very slow
it has windows installed , i did not want windows nor did i need windows but i was in hurry to buy
what could be causing this to run slow ? what can speed it up ?
my last old hp chrome book was much faster and i tell difference immediately

However any new Windows computer (which includes a refurbished model that's just had Windows freshly installed onto it) will tend to run slowly for the first week or two, simply because of all the updates that Windows will constantly be installing in order to bring it up to date.

Opps! Sorry! I didn't notice the significance of the word 'Stream' in your post.
The HP Stream ISN'T a Chromebook! (That's probably why I got confused). It's a Windows notebook/laptop from the very start (which was never designed to run the Chrome operating system on).
I still think that you might be getting loads of Windows updates (which can slow some machines to a crawl) but I suggest opening Task Manager to take a look at what's hogging so many resources.
