I'm tired of being presented with images, many majestic but mostly of remote, forbidding, sunless places. I was never given the chance to vote for two colourful ones I would have chosen
There are options to change all the different screens so you can peruse anything you wish - I have mine alternating through holiday shots over the last few years.
On the top right corner of the picture there's a comment 'like what you see' which if you highlight gives you options to change, have similar etc etc - this is in Win 10
Nearly all versions of Windows let you choose your own desktop from any source you like (such as from photos you've taken yourself or from images you've found on the web). The only exception I know of is Windows 7 Starter Edition, which doesn't directly offer such a function. (There are workarounds available for it though).
Call up Desktop picture on your screen.
Call up Charms by pointing your mouse arrow at the top right corner of the screen, then swiping it downwards.
The list of Charms symbols appears.
Click on Settings Charm.
Choose Personalisation from the list of options.
You can now change the desktop image in My Themes.
I wasn't asking how to change anything, simply commenting that overall, I find the pictures dismal and uninviting and looking for any comments about them.
