Sending Large Files For Someone With A Bad Internet Connection?
2 Answers
i have someone sending me large files (less than 1gb each) but she has a crap internet and i dont want to be clogging up her machine while shes doing this.
I know there are options like Dropbox and WeTransfer etc, but are there any other options that are particularly good for someone with bad internet speeds etc?
thanks :)

Compressing the files, using 7-zip or similar, might help a little but it's unlikely to make a really big difference.
However the way that an ADSL connection (which I assume that she's got) works is that it reserves a certain amount of internet capacity for uploads and a bigger bit for downloads. So the person sending you the files should still be able to use their internet normally while uploading the files, as most web browsing involves downloading, rather than uploading.
