Security shutter remote controls

I need some more remote controls for the roller shutters outside my shop. Sadly, the original manufacturer of the shutters has gone bust.

Are there any places I can contact who make clone versions? The units are very low tech and trigger a motor to go up and down, I can't believe it should be impossible to replace them. I don't want to have to install new roller shutters - that would be very expensive!

Have you tried a basic replacemnt television control and copied the signal I've no idea if this works but you could always borrow someones to try it I suppose! Unless you haven't got another control to copy. You could contact other roller blind makers and see if they can help. I would be surprised if they made the remotes themself. They probably bought in a generic model and stuck their own name on it...Best of Luck.

Have you tried ILC garage doors @ Ossett, West Yorkshire, tele 01924 280809. I believe they do shutters if they can't help they might point you in the right direction.

Many shutter remotes are RF so the TV control might not work. Try contacting local alarm companies as the rolling code stuff is used on A.C.E. systems too.

oh that's sad but just a heads up here if you know the model or what is the brand of your roller shutter i think you can find the remote or rather try http://westmidlandshutters.co.uk/roller-shutters.html and ask them if they have the same roller shutters. Or worst case scenario you'll need to buy new one.
