Canon Camera Problem Stil

I am still having problems with my Canon Power Shot SX120 camera. Every time I take a picture I am asked to enter date and time. Once the picture is taken I am asked to enter time and date.......and so it goes on.
I went to a camera shop and the chap thinks there is an internal battery that has failed but did not know how to fix it. I went to another shop and was told there is not another battery inside.
I can still take pictures by just ignoring the instruction but because there is no date whenever I download pictures they get sent anywhere and I have to search through my pictures to find them
