I've bought one of the above and have located the 'on' and 'off' switch. However, when I switched it on it immediately started beeping and wouldn't shut up until I turned it to 'off' and, as you would need to have it switched on to be able to find your missing keys, I don't want to spend the rest of my life with a whistling coat pocket.

There's also a button on the front that presses in and out but doesn't seem to have any effect on anything. Is it me or is it faulty?

Sounds faulty to me. How much did you pay for it?
Anything like this?

Now discontinued at Wilko but the two reviews are damning.

Yes, it looks just like the one from Wilko's but cost me all of £1.79 online! Perhaps you get what you pay for but it should really be suitable for purpose, as they say. However, I've now got a post-paid return form so they can have it back.

I've just realised the button on the front switches the LED light on and off - duh !!
Oh well, at least you have a miniature torch.
