Hudl 2 Stoppage

My Hudl 2 stopped working this afternoon with an on screen message informing me that the G Board h ad stopped working.. absolutely nothing works all I can get is my screensaver with the word password. Anyone else having this problem -if not- is there a solution, I dont know what - if anything - I can do

Holding the power button down to see if you can get to a (usable) 'Power Off' option. If so, simply use that and then (after waiting for a short while) hold the power key down again to turn the device back on. If that doesn't work, follow the instructions in the first part of my 'hard reset' link but, instead of choosing 'Wipe Data / Factory Reset', choose 'Reboot...

First try a soft reset:

If that doesn't work I can only suggest a hard reset. (NB: You'll lose all your data! However that's probably better than having a device that doesn't work at all):
