Power Bank For Ipad Pro

I need to extend the battery life of my iPad and think a power bank may be the solution but I know little of them so have a few questions.

Can I use my iPad whilst it is connected to the power bank?
They come in different sizes (Amps?) - which would be the best?
Can the powerbank itself be charged using my iPad charger and cable?
Can you personally recommend a power bank for my iPad Pro and / or tell me what to avoid.

Or maybe you can recommend something else entirely?

Go and have a look on Amazon. I bought one there and am very happy with it, use it for iPad and iPhones. I'll see if I can remember which one it is

That would be helpful if you could tell me which one you have, Sam. There are loads on Amazon and I haven't a clue

Mine is Posugear, only weighs 220g, capacity 10000 mAh/37Wh ( whatever tha means). It lasts a long time when using, takes 6-8 hours to charge. Yes you can use your device while connected to it. I always plug it in the wall to charge and comes with it's own charger, which is the one you have to use. I paid about 15€ I think.

I think they are all much of a muchness. Mine has little lights on which tell you how much power remains, which is handy. Look at how powerful it is and how light.

It was tremendously useful when we went to Japan last year, for the journey etc.

I use a power bank made by Zendure - a ZEN A2 bought on Amazon. It was recommended to me by a friend - partly because it's very robust - a car can apparently drive over it! But not when connected to your ipad of course!!
It comes with a usb cable for charging it, either plugging in to a laptops usb, a mains socket that has a usb terminal, or purchase a separate charger. We charge ours via a mains socket that has two USB terminals.
I like the fact that the power bank can be charging at the same time as it is being used to power a device/charge a device.
Current price is £34.95 but is sometimes on offer at around £30. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for

Just to add - the Posugear Power Bank 10000 mAh suggested by Sam looks appealing - and at £13.95 on Amazon, a bargain. It doesn't have the "charge-thru" feature that the Zen has, but instead it has two usb outlets to charge two devices at the same time. I'd not come across this model/brand before and whilst it may not withstand a car driving over it, or being dropped on a hard surface, it's worth a close look I'd say. So much so, I'm thinking now of buying one as a back up to my zen.
