Hi Johnny.5,
Tell me about the outlook in google
Question Author
Hi Johnny.5,
I downloaded outlook from google like you said. How do I activate the email?
Question Author
Hi Tuvok,
Are you there?
What happened when you did the lost password link?

I don't have a Microsoft email (technically my work one is, but its handled differently from a non-corporate one)

If you can't get your password via the lost password option, there are more steps illustrated here (have had to do this in the past for a friend )

Hi Tuvok,
The lost password link didn’t really work out? My mobile phone isn’t working and I am not getting the verification code and my email isn’t working
So you don't have another email address linked to your microsoft account?

Best to try the other options - where you select "I don't have access to these"
Question Author
Hi Tuvok,
Do you know about reloading from google. Email that is. I did the first part but don’t know where to go from there?
Not sure what you "reloading from Google"

Google is a search engine and email provider.

It has nothing to do with Microsoft.

Is your email address definately from Microsoft eg. hotmail, outlook?

How do you normally access your email - via the internet (= webmail) or through a programme/app eg. Thunderbird, Mail etc.?
Question Author
Hi Tuvok,
Someone else told me to load from google. My email is a @hotmail.com account normally. So I think it is Microsoft via internet. I have a Apple ipad
I am not sure that you need to be downloading anything from microsoft
So previously you would go to the internet to access your email.

If you use the Mail app that comes with the ipad, try selecting the Outlook option.

Fill in the info it asks for - try your password.

If your password hasn't been changed by somebody else, hopefully you'll get into your email.

If the Outlook option doesn't work try again, this tume selecting the Other option.
Question Author
Hi Tuvok,
I am so confused. How do you uninstall the download from google. Where would I find that mail thing?
Pull down from the top of the ipad screen - you should get a search box.

Type in Mail and then on search.

I'm wondering whether it might be better to leave it for tonight and start afresh unless Tuvok can spare an hour or so.
Is there anyone locally who can help you- a neighbour or relative who is familiar with ipads- it's so much easier to sort out if the ipad is in front of someone
Question Author
Hi Tuvok,
How do you mean pull down the iPad screen and search and type in mail

Hi fiction factory,
No I have no one who will help me. They don’t want to get involved with someone who doesn’t understand with learning problems. I can’t relax. It is worrying me sick
Do you have a carer of any sort?
Question Author
Hi fiction factory,
No I live with my parents. They don’t know anything about computers. My siblings are useless

If you look on this video, you will see the Mail app in the dock of their ipad.

I'll be away fora few minutes - got to feed our fish.
