hello i will try to explain my prob again
when i boot up my dell laptop all i get is all red andblack lines covering the screen
using acer laptop now

That sounds like a hardware fault, possibly to do with the connections to the screen becoming damaged. (There are cables feeding from the main part of the laptop, through the hinge bit, into the screen. Repeated opening and closing of the laptop can damage those cables or pull on the connections that they're attached to).

Regrettably, since it's not a software problem, there's almost certainly nothing that anyone here can do to help. You'll need to get a computer technician to open the machine up to search for the fault. Sorry!
