Anti-virus and firewall

Which is the most compatible with AOL? If I install both of these do I really need anything else. Computer runs Windows XP.

surely xp's own already installed firewall is ok. as for an anti virus avast is brill

Yes and will use it if it's any good.

i was told by an IT man it's Norton -- dont know how true but no reason to disbelieve, i ru n Avast and its simple to use nothing seems to creep past it along with spy bot i get no trouble

I'm with AOL and use Norton Internet Security with Anti-Virus and Firewall...........no problems.
