Months ago for some mad reason I signed up to a website called Readly. You pay a subscription every month and can read endless magazines etc etc. Well I forgot all about it till I checked my bank statement yesterday and realised I was still paying for it. So I’ve gone to log onto their website to cancel it and I cannot log in. Keeps saying password is wrong. So Ive gone to reset it and I just don’t receive the reset email. I’ve tried endless times. I’ve gone into their CONTACT US and it just repeats the same thing - reset password!! But it won’t let me.
So I’ve tried to find a phone number for them but there doesn’t seem to be one!
No matter how many times I email them I just get same automated reply - reset p/w.
It won’t let me!
What on earth do I do??

Ask your bank to cancel it.
Cancel the DD via your bank's online (or phone) banking.
Use the Contact Us option on their page?
Go in to your online bank account and cancel the DD. Send an email to Readly telling them you are cancelling.
Contact your bank Smow, tell them you wish to stop that DD , they should do it therefore stopping the subs going from your account to this company
Email them at [email protected]
BTW - I think Readly is excellent - gives me access to all my techie mags for £7.99 a month - less than I'd pay for even a couple of physical copies.

Gness also uses it for crafty stuff (you'd be amazed just how many crochet mags there are) - one sub covers all our various pads/tablets/phones.
contact your bank immediately and cancel dd and then they will contact you quickly enough

Thanks Barry x
Yes it’s prob Good but I just never use it.
Did your bank tell you why? Use the email addy I posted https://gb.readly.com/support/topics/360003567879/articles?article_id=360011859559

//told my bank can’t cancel a D.D for me??//
Who told you that ?.I have done it many times. They will probably ask if you have notified the payee.Just explain what has happened.
Are you on Facebook or Twitter? Send them a message on their page.
If it's a direct debit on a current , then your bank can easily cancel - I did one via NatWest yesterday - three clicks and it was gone.

If it's a "continuous credit card payment" then it's trickier, but still possible.
You can cancel a direct debit at any time. Your bank may not be able to stop the next payment if it is too close to the cancellation.

Have you tried cancelling online? Who do you bank with?

Santander. Ok I’m going to try now...... watch this space lol
I'm with Santander and it's easy peasy. You should still email Readly though

Grrrrr, I’ve logged onto my bank and clicked ‘my D.D’s and it’s not even listed!!
Is the DD coming directly from your Bank Account? If you did it through a Credit Card you will have to contact the CC company. If you went through PayPal you can cancel subscriptions easily through them on line.
Smowball for some reason my Sky Subscription does not show on my DD's either ( Santander). Try looking on 'Standing Orders'
