Amazon Voucher Ages

I have just ordered an amazon voucher online so I can put it in a birthday card. It is taking ages to authorise. I think it maybe Natwest being slow as the money has not come out yet either. I have noticed the bank being slow with some things. I thought banks were open though, but are their people working from home?

Banks are open but at reduced hours, a lot are working from home like Mortgage advisors , we had some money to deposit in ours yesterday and found we could do this at our local Post Office just now, so things are very different Carole

Thanks! A card payment due last Thursday was not taken out until Monday this week, so I wondered. I want to send the card today, so I hope something happens by 5pm!

When did you make the purchase?

I would have thought that an online payment to Amazon would not have been delayed unless there is suspected fraud, in which case the bank would have been in touch with you.

It has all gone through. Must have taken over an hour! I did 3 separate purchases and they all seem to have been cleared together. I expect, as Boxtops said, skeleton staff and people working from home.
