Might be a daft question but I have been sent a CD and don't have a CD player and even my van has only got a cassette player. My tv does take DVDs - can I play the CD in it? Don't want to put it in and mess it up!

most dvd players will play a cd, check the spec out at the manufacturers website.
Try it...you can't mess anything up. It'll either play or it won't.
The DVD player in my telly won't play CDs but yours might. As has been said, it won't do any harm to try it anyway.

Also remember that, if your PC or laptop has got a CD/DVD drive, you can play the CD using that instead.
