Anybody Out There Use Zoom ?

i used it a couple of times a few weeks ago without any problems. But tried to use it today,sadly i couldn´t get any sound. The person i tried to zoom, said why dont you try skype. So i tried skype without any issues, perfect picture and sound.
So what could be the problem ?

When you say that you couldn't get any sound do you mean that you coudn't hear the others or they couldn't hear you or both?
The latest update, last week I think, resolved several issues around mic. control so are you using the latest version?
probable you haven't selected the righ mic source.
I can see and hear others (tried twice) but they can hear, but not see, me. I'm told the camera needs enabling, but I don't know how to do that. I prodded a lot of buttons and nearly lost the whole lot. All a very strange new world.
Is it 'incoming' audio that's the problem or 'outgoing' audio. If it's th former, the problem probably lies with the other person's computer/tablet/phone. If it's the latter, it's probably at your end.

Whoever actually has the problem needs to check that their computer/phone/tablet hasn't lost the setting which tells it to allow Zoom to use the microphone on that device.

If the relevant device is an Android one (such as the majority of mobile phones) or an iOS one (such as an iPhone or iPad) see the stuff about 'Permissions' for the microphone here:

If the device is a Windows 10 PC or laptop, use the Windows search box to navigate to Microphone privacy settings. Switch on the 'Allow apps to access your microphone' toggle, and enable access for Zoom.
on the zoom main screen, bottom left click the v next to the mic icon, in there you can select and test both mic and speaker combinations.

Latest version, maybe thats the problem. My version is about 2months old!

Having done that, if you are still having a problem, let us know what kind of device you are using and whether the problem is incoming, outgoing or both.

I took my laptop back to the shop, why? Cuz i was at the end of my tether. I'll Let you know how i get on asap.
