Using Windows 10 and Microsoft Mail to deal with a Gmail account, for some reason the items I've written and sent are nearly always going into the Spam folder instead of Sent Items. When they go into the Sent folder, they only record the address they were going to, my address and the subject - no message.
This is really irritating, as I either believe they haven't gone or, if I see they have, I've got no record of what was written.
Any ideas?
The best way is to remove the Gmail account from the Mail app and then add it again manually via the Other Account POP/IMAP route using the IMAP settings.
One other thing you may have to do is change a security setting in Google to allow access to less secure apps. While we wait for Microsoft to sort this out, it might be safest only to use Gmail via a browse.
Thanks for taking the time to reply. Yes, I did try doing what you suggested, which worked for a short while, but then it went back to the same problem.
Now we're accessing mail through the browser, which is much better.
