How Often Do You Give Your Pc A Good Blow?

I thought I did mine regularly but it must have been a while. I took the back off and it was thick with dust. I knew it needed doing because it was getting hot and a bit noisy.

I use the hand held vacuum cleaner and a 2inch dry paintbrush to raise the dust from the heat sinks and fan blades. I also wipe the fan blades with a damp cloth and clean out all the vents and nooks and crannies in the tower. When I have finished it is as clean as it way on day 1. I do the same with a laptop once a year but that is a full on strip down to get to the fan and heat sinks. When I sort the tower out I also clean and polish the monitor, keyboard, mouse and computer desk including speakers and all the wires. "She who must be obeyed" smiles benignly at me for days afterwards.
every 2 months.remove cover .Then remove fan power supply and hard drive.give them a good blow with air blower(type for pc u can buy cheap enough).then use a soft paintbrush everywhere else carefully. Then i use fast drying contact spray on everything ie motherboard hard drive fan, memory sticks etc. Then put back together. Its worth doing it and it runs quieter and faster.
i've always used a paint brush and a can of this (best doing it outside on a good day too)
