It Issue - Varying A Pfd Within Wins 10

Hi you clever guys - We can all upload docs and save as PFDs. I have always been able to convert a PFD with XP and up to Jun 20 (this year) with Wins 10.1 by inserting a text box. Last night, I discovered that facility, to insert a text box, has auto-been removed from my PC. When investigating, Microsoft's auto-updating end users with the choice of Windows Edge is to blame (probably to force we end-users to go online to use a PFD conversion package which one has to pay for (and quite a fiddly conversion operation). Anyone else discovered this issue? Anyone got any ideas to get round this issue. MS suggests restore but I doubt that would work?

PFD appears to be an obscure video format but, since your question refers to 'docs', I assume that you mean PDF.

However I can't see any mention in your post of what you're trying to convert a PDF file TO (or possibly FROM?) and I can't see where 'inserting a text box' comes into it either.

Please tell us more about exactly what it is that you're trying to do.

Buenchico, sorry for my delay in answering but 26 Jun to 8 Jul 20 was the busiest period for a long time. Background to my question. I scan a doc to PC and saved as a PFD. When wanting to use the document as an exhibit, I used to be able to click on Insert and select "text". When moving the cursor over the PFD, I clicked on the PFD to exactly where I wanted to insert and type my text. I have been able to do that for years - the last time was Jun 20. As I said, that facility simply disappeared this month, Jul 20. Does this further data help you? Kindly tony_123.
