Not all were, those that didn't must be brave considering how much abuse sportsman get who refuse to be bullied into submission by those who think they are morally superior. I used to cheer Lewis Hamilton on to win but its tainted a bit now with his preaching.

Oh bloody hell now there's a plane flying over with a message saying 'thank u NHS'. So much virtue signaling at one sporting event, its all too much, I feel nauseous.
Me too. Hope Hamilton breaks down.
Amazing how a couple of ABers on the one hand deplore bullying , and on the other wish ill to people whose views they disagree with.
Yes that's me.
I don't like being dictated to.
It isn't brave to choose not to do something, it's making your own decision.

Was going to watch it but when that happened I changed channels, plenty more on.
A few Championship teams scrapped the taking of the knee in the last few games of the season. In the States, Orlando Magic basketball player Jonathan Isaac declined to take the knee or wear a BLM top when NBA restarted. No-one received any abuse over this, and clearly they weren't bullied into anything.

You know what's worse than "virtue signalling"? Grown men getting triggered by other people's decisions to support a cause. People have a choice, just as you have a choice not to watch them.
Hamilton should have kept his gob shut and not dictated to others to grovel.
//I don't like being dictated to.//

But constantly do that to others when it comes to God. Hypocrite.
THELAND, did Hamilton dictate what others should do?

Did he criticize any other drivers for not following his actions?

Are you not dictating by saying, "Hamilton should have kept his gob shut"?
I don't know what "taking the knee" means - and don't care - just want to see Hamilton get beaten/break down (my hopes were raised today) as the commentators are too focussed on him. There's 19 other drivers.

I ended up with the BTCC instead, was good.
What's all the fuss about for *** sake .

No one is dictating anything to anyone

Those drivers who wanted , did so - those who didn't want to didn't

A Britain is on course to be the most successful driver of all time - yet some are wishing him bad luck

Typical British attitude
Good for him Johnny 5. He's made his choice, and I haven't see any criticism of his stance. It's a free world, people have the right to choose and to make up their own minds about things.
Theland:"Hope Hamilton breaks down."

You almost got your wish, but his skills allowed him to finish the last lap with a puncture. Back to your voodoo doll then !
Hamilton is a hypocrite of the highest order, a tax dodger to boot, I can't stand the man and I'm not very keen of this so called 'sport'!
Hamilton should have kept his gob shut

some people might think Theland should keep his gob shut; but he doesn't, and I hope Hamilton doesn't either.
SAINTPETER, are you alleging he evades tax?
do you pay more tax than you have to, "Saint" Peter? If so, I could forward my bill for you to pick up.
