Boot problem

I had problems with cd rewriter recently,I took the tower apart and repaired it.The problem is the Floppy drive will not load now .On start uo it says error 02B2 incorrect Drive A type ,go to set up.When I check deice manager it says floppy ok, but its not.When I connect floppy wiring ,must I connect the 4 pin connector,because if I do the green light stays on.It still does not work . What is the answer. How do know if the wiring connections are correct .

I had something very like this before. All it turned out to be was that I had inserted the ribbon cable back into the drive upside down. I don't think it's properly keyed to prevent you from doing this so it's easy enough. I just turned it round the other way and everything was fine. I hope that's all that's up with yours, worth a look anyway.
