What's The Best Thing To Use

for cleaning the screen of my laptop. Is there anything other than screen wipes?

it gets very dusty first off and then i can see the smudge marks.

I use spectacle wipes from Lidl emmie. They do a grand job.

I use an anti static cloth for mine, the pound shop have them

I have always used a quick spray of furniture polish.

doesn't that make the screen sticky Ken....

You can resort to a slightly damp cloth with just a dab of washing up liquid, then wiped over with a dry cloth.

A piece of very soft, lint free, cloth to which has been applied a small amount of mixture 50% Boiled water (cooled) & 50% White Vinegar.
Wipe over screen and allow to dry before polishing with a soft lint free cloth.

Having said that, I use a wrung-out dishcloth and it works a treat on my Desktop Monitor, Laptop and TV screens.

I just use Windowlene - does the job lovely

Windowlene is what I use to clean my big TV and it comes up like a diamond. Also the black stand as well.

I use isopropyl alcohol on my ipad - its the stuff that is sold as CD cleaner

items that should be avoided for cleaning LCD Screens.

Avoid these substances at all cost:

Acetone
Ammonia
Ethyl acid
Ethyl alcohol
Methyl alcohol
Methyl chloride
Surface cleaners
Toluene
Window cleaners
Any other corrosive or abrasive substances.

Just to expand on Han's post. meths is a mixture of ethyl alcohol and methy alcohol, so should be avoided.
