I need a tablet with the facility to change the size of the keyboard. My fingers are arthritic and hit the wrong keys. My Samsung Galaxy 6 has died and cannot be raised from the dead. Not too expensive, but reliable. I am working with my little old Hudl at the moment. Doesn't let me down but keyboard is impossible.

I don't know anything about changing the keyboard size but I hate entering text on a tablet so bought some rubber ended stylus pens for use with android devices and find them brilliant and so much quicker than fingers. You just touch each letter you want.
The stylus is a good way of typing, I agree with Prudie

What worries me is that I can't grip a pen or a pencil, my writing is dreadful these days, but a stylus might just work. Thanks both. I liked my Samsung Galaxy but my son tells me that unless you pay a fortune, very rarely do tablets last long. He has taken it home to see if he can revive it, but doesn't hold up much hope/ (He is an IT engineer and an essential worker at the moment and my little problems always have to wait.) He is working flat out, and has been since February!

I certainly won't be getting an Apple Bobbi. To be honest, I prefer using the computer and don't use my tablet very much. Son tells me you can get tablets where you can change the keyboard size.

The trouble with me is that I was trained to touch type, so I can use the computer without looking at the keys at all. It takes me ages to type anything where I can't touch type.
Why not get a physical usb keyboard?

I have an Apple Pro with both a keyboard and pencil. Works great.

Sounds good Gromit. Thank you. Sounds expensive! I'll investigate. Perhaps my son can get it set up through his company. (Perks for mothers!).

I have a Microsoft go2, you can get a keyboard which just clips in. Not the cheapest but the cost of both is quite a bit below an Apple.

Thank you Ubasses. I will look into that option now.

One thing that is important is getting a tablet that lets you turn off predictive text!

Best answers for all of you.
What went wrong with your Galaxy?

It suddenly shot a lot of bright lights across the screen like a firework display and died a dramatic death!
Had a quick search for your issue - haven't found it yet, but I did find this that lists various issues

Does it power on but nothing happens?
On your Hudl, has the keyboard shrunk to a small area or does it fill the screen?

If it is small there are a row of icons at the top. To the right of the settings cog there will be a picture of screen with a line through it - tap this and the screen will revert to full size.

I have an Amazon kindle fire
So do I, music... the good thing is that if it does break, they just replace it with no fuss.
I actually a few weeks ago had to get a brand new Amazon kindle fire because my old one completely broke it got stuck on the logo and I now find that the new one is even better than the old one.
I've got a Kindle Fire, you can get a plug in keyboard for it.
I just link my phone through to the PC and there I can use the larger keyboard. Asus keys are larger than most and good for my chunky fingers - they are also a lot more durable as they were designed for use by engineers and the like out in the field.....
