I Need Help In Choosing A Good Wildlife Camera For My Garden Please.
21 Answers
I want it mainly for nocturnal activities as I can hear creatures moving about after dark. Suggestions of the features I need to look for would be helpful. What I do know is I want the clearest night time vision I can get and for it to be waterproof. My garden is not very big, roughly 3.5 fence panels across the top and each side coming down. I'd like to see the Hhogs I feed on the patio area but can I get a camera that will cover a bigger area that that? All suggestions welcome.

I have a GoPro and the quality is excellent but I wouldn't recommend it for this. It has no zoom facility so you capture a wide field of vision and then you need really faffy software to even look at your pictures, never mind edit them. I've never tried it at night, are they good for night vision? I have an excellent night photo setting on my phone as it happens.
I got a crenova one and am really pleased with it. Amazon.co.uk User Recommendation

20mp - thats the maximum resolution of the photos
1080p is the resolution of the videos.
I think I have mine set to 720p - purely to get more on the memory card. Most cameras come with a 4 or 8gb card. I use 32gb cards.
I haven't looked at the links on here - but I would go for one that has three sensors rather than just one sensor - that gives you more areas that trigger the camera.
Will have a look in a minute....

Mine have a video out connection that connects to a RCA (phono) (yellow) input if your tv has that, or by usb.
You can set the resolution lower than 20mp.
You don't need a light - when the camera is triggered the camera lights the area by infra red - thats why its in black and white.
As for my videos - no bats - just insects or rain drops.
