best graphics card - decently priced

Hi everyone, i need a new graphics card for my pc all i want it for is to mainly watch movies/dvd's and stuff along with the occasional game. Does anyone know which is the best to buy? i don't want to pay more than �60 really

�60 won't get you a particularly good graphics card, I'm afraid - you'll probably be looking close to the �100 mark, especially if you're looking to play games like Half-Life 2 and have them look even half decent.

However, for �60, I'd recommend this card (I'm assuming you have an AGP graphics card slot on your computer):

But, if your budget stretches to �100, I'd go for something like this:

The second card will last longer, and be able to play more games in the future.
for that price you can get geforce 6600 256 mb cards.- thats what i wile buying in the near furture
MattK is right, you can get a 256mb card, but the actualy processor in a GeForce 6600 isn't quite equipped to use the full 256mb efficiently.
Personally, I think you'd be better off going for a card with 128mb of memory, but has a good processor (like the X700 Pro I recommended.)

I agree wholeheartedly, more memory on a lower end processor is not always a good thing...only with more powerful processors will that extra memory ever mean anything.
