Which network offers the best mobile phone coverage? I am with O2 and have been for about 7 years. Now I get instances where texts are sent and take a couple of hours and sometimes a couple of days to reach the intended recipient. On enquiring about problems in the O2 shop I was met with a shrug - not the best incentive to stay with them! I live in Sussex but travel to North London each day to commute, so need a reliable service when alerting my other half to my intended arrival time home!

I was told vodafone had the best coverage (by a guy in a phone shop so it is unlikely to be true).
Here is an answer from a mobile phone shop web site http://www.mobileshop.org/buyguide/coverage.htm so also likely to be untrue...

I am with Vodafone and have never ever had a probalem with coverage, whereever I am - it even supports me when I am abroad.

My friends are with Orange, O2 etc etc and have occassionally found they have no signal.

Also, Vodafone have excellent customer services and they are ll so polite and willing to help you - even with silly little problems you have with your phone :)

I have been with Vodafone for several years. So far, no problems. Used my phone many times abroad with great signal and clarity of calls. I can't fault them.
I wouldnt agree that vodaphone is the best, in my old flat i had coverage with both orange and O2 but my frends mum had a intermittent (and mostly not there) signal with vodaphone. And in this flat my coverage is ok for o2, but one of the lads is on vodaphone, and he's constantly losing signal.
